So the government is easing some restrictions which mean I can finally open my studio again, YAYYY!!!
As much as I’ve enjoyed being a full time mum to my nearly 4 year old and attempting to home school him (I really did attempt it but mostly failed lol) it’s time to dust my camera down and get back to work. I can honestly say I’ve really missed it; I’ve never not worked, so for me it was very surreal.
I think most of us will have to change certain aspects of our lives for some time to come, and for my business, it means I need to make some big changes in how I work and what type of sessions I can offer.

What is changing in the studio?
Due to the size of my studio, I need to make changes to the amount of people entering in order to socially distance from you as much as possible and reduce the risk of infection.
This unfortunately means that newborn sessions will take place with only mum or dad so parent images will only be with one parent. No sibling shots will be done with baby due to the hands on approach needed to position them.
For all other sessions only one adult will be able to enter the studio alongside the person I am photographing.
For portraits, there will be a maximum of 2 children being photographed at any time if they are old enough to pose and position themselves.
For sessions with more than 2 kids or family sessions, these will be kept to outdoor sessions only.
Upon entering my premises, shoes and coats will need to be removed and you will be provided with hand sanitizer to clean your hands before going upstairs. The studio will be marked out where you are able to go in order to keep socially distant. There will be hand sanitiser readily available so you can clean your hands throughout the session if needed.
I will be wearing either a face mask or visor throughout the session using antibacterial gel and wearing an apron.

What is changing with the sessions?
I will be changing what poses I do, and what props I use. I will only use props I can keep safe by washing and spraying.
All session times will be reduced in order to lessen the risk by having less time in contact with you where possible. This also means a reduction in my prices (see full list below with prices)
All sessions will require help from the parent attending for posing etc so I am able to keep as much distance from you as possible.
All children must be wearing the outfits planned for their session as changing in the studio will not be possible.
Newborn sessions usually take between 2 – 3 hours, but I will try and shorten that by making poses simpler so we will be in session for 1-2 hours maximum.
I will only be doing 1 session per day to allow time to fully clean, wash and disinfect everything.
